- One thing that I am constantly asking myself especially at this stage in My life is how can I become a better human being, what can I improve on and how can I figure out what the best use of my time is. How can I be a better friend, daughter and girlfriend and overall How can I become more aware of the world around me. The core handbook expresses the ideas we will come across in our learning and the expectations for the next four years ahead of us. I believe that the expectations and ideas that are represented in the core handbook align with my own ideas and expectations for myself and that they are completely reasonable. I am definitely a more right-brained person so the fact that all of my courses ”value the role of the arts and languages by instilling fluency, creativity and imagination in thought and expression” sounds right up my ally!! In the core values statement it is said that “we emphasize civic understanding of the role and responsibilities of the individual to the larger community” this is something that excites me because I am constantly looking at the big picture and it is something that I try to always be aware of and educate others about because I am someone who has extreme empathy and I care a lot. In most cases ignorance is not bliss.
- 1.) One thing that I didn’t understand in the text was when it said “quantitative and qualitative approaches to comprehending the universe” what does that mean? 2.) How did we come up with our core values?
