- Why we decided to do this topic. Nick and I were in Mr.Cripps Podcasting class and each had to make 15 podcasts in that class and we both have also made podcasts outside of that class. In total we have made around 45- 50 podcasts episodes. Your in good hands

- Its important to select a niche or theme that you’re passionate about.
- As well as Identifying your target audience. Why would they listen to your podcast?
- 2. Define Your Format:
- Decide on the structure of your podcast (interviews, solo commentary, storytelling, etc.).
- Determine episode length (5-20 minutes, 30-60 minutes, etc.).
- Frequency: Will it be weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly?
- 3. Branding:
- Choose a name, create a logo, and develop an intro/outro for your podcast this is important to create an identity.
- Consider tone and style (casual, formal, humorous, etc.).
Recording Your Podcast
- 1. Gather Your Equipment:
- Minimum: A good microphone (USB mic, or XLR for higher quality), and good headphones.
- 2. Recording Software:
- Free options: Audacity, Voice memos on your phone, GarageBand (for Mac users), or online tools like Anchor.
- Paid options: Adobe Audition, Hindenburg Journalist (for professional quality).
- 3. Recording Tips:
- Find a quiet space.
- Test audio levels before recording. Do a sample clip
- Speak clearly and keep energy consistent throughout .
Editing Your Podcast
- 1. Editing Software:
- Use your recording software (Audacity, GarageBand, etc.) to clean up your audio.
- 2. Basic Edits:
- Trim silences, remove background noise, cut out mistakes.
- Adjust volume levels to ensure consistency.
- 3. Add Music & Effects:
- Use royalty-free music for intros/outros.
- Keep music at a low volume so it doesn’t overpower the voice.
Publishing & Distributing Your Podcast

- Choose a podcast host (Buzzsprout, Libsyn, Podbean, Anchor).
- Upload your episodes, along with show notes and episode descriptions.
