Internship Evidence #8

Internship Evidence #8

On this day we were doing a PSA for the deaf community reminding them to go to their annual check ups and get their shots. My role that day started small: helping with setup, making sure everything was organized and safe. But as the shoot went on, I was handed more responsibility. I helped adjust lights on command, monitored audio levels briefly, and even operated a B-camera. That was a huge moment for me. Knowing that someone trusted me to operate a camera in an active shoot reminded me that this internship wasn’t about busywork it was about building skills. We also ran into some real world problems when it came to translating the script and getting it on the teleprompter. what this experience taught me is that being on a real set is a balance of preparation and presence. You need to know your gear, your roles, your workflow—but you also need to be able to stay focused and flexible when things shift.
