Internship Evidence #4
Internship Evidence #4 Description:
We broke down the set from the Rick Goldsmith interview. Starting with breaking down the class set up and then the equipment. We broke down the camera, the audio equipment and the lighting equipment. Each time me and Jenelle set up/ break down the studio it is helpful for me to watch how she handles the equipment with care and the proper procedures for storing the equipment. One thing in particular that I have been trying to get better at is how to properly wrap cables so that you don’t end up with spaghetti noodles. Also while we are breaking down/ setting up the equipment I like to ask Jenelle what the terms are for the equipment and what kind of settings would you use that specific piece of equipment in she is always happy to give me the answers and the dos and don’ts of the equipment. After we were done breaking down the set we decided to play with different kinds of lighting. The first light I played with is called a tube light. The specific one I used was the Amaran PT2c. The tube light had all kinds of different settings. The main ones that I played with were Color temperature adjustments, Effects Mode which includes various built-in lighting effects like party, police lights, fireworks, and others, ideal for creative projects, Wireless mode, and brightness modes. Playing with the tube light was fun because while playing with it it gave me a lot of cool ideas of what a portable light like that could be used for. One idea that came to my mind is the idea of bringing unnatural light to natural places. Like a frog on wet pavement lit up by purple neon light, almost like he is crossing the street in tokyo. Or a little less off the wall thought this light could be used for on the go and outdoor interviews which I think is super beneficial.
