Internship Evidence #3
An unexpected part of setup days was just how much physical work it involved. Moving gear, climbing ladders, taping down cables—it’s a workout. But it also gives you a deeper appreciation for what happens behind the scenes. When you watch a music video or promo online, it’s easy to take the final image for granted. But when you’ve been part of the setup, you understand that what you’re seeing is the result of hours of careful decisions, tiny adjustments, and people working in sync. There was also a lot of trust involved. I was asked to set up backdrops and lights on my own, or move equipment without someone watching over my shoulder. That kind of responsibility made me sharper. I double-checked everything—light stands, cable placement, camera batteries. I didn’t want to be the reason something fell apart.
