This semester My voice has been the driving point in all of my writing assignments. I feel that this semester has helped me to be more specific and clear with my thesis statements which is useful when I’m trying to make my perspective and point of view well known right off the bat (something that i’ve struggled with in the past). I actually have been running into the problem in my writing where there’s too much of my voice and not enough other perspectives. I have gotten the feedback multiple times on my work that “great use of your voice could use more of the author’s perspectives” and that’s a problem I am learning how to fix. This has made it hard for me when writing naysayer paragraphs because so often I strongly believe in what I’m writing about. But the naysayer paragraphs have been great practice for me because adding other perspectives seems to be something that I struggle with.
