Hi my Name is Kayleigh Duncan I am 21 years old and I am a communications major here at University of New England. I am a communications major because I have always had a certain affinity towards film of any kind. It runs in my blood. My Father was a First Assistant Director in the movie business and worked on many movies. Some of my Favorite memories when I was younger was when he would bring me on set of the movies he was working on and I got to see the behind the scenes and ever since then I knew that I had to get involved. In my more recent years I have been drawn more towards the documentary side of film nature documentaries specifically. I have always been passionate about animal rights and climate change and I feel that being involved in these types of documentaries I can help inform the larger population of the damage that we have done and are continuing to do and inform people on the ways that they can help. I have lived in many different places in my life and have met all different types of people. I feel that the people and places that I have crossed paths with in my life so far have taught me very different but all very important things about myself and this world. Travel makes me feel alive and I want to do a lot more of it in my future. I believe the more open minded I can be to new experiences and beliefs the easier it will be to see the bigger picture and to find my place in this world. My two passions in life are Film and animals. I hope to one day combine my passions and Work for National Geographic or Animal Planet. I wanna be rich when i grow up, and by rich I mean rich in experiences i’ve had through my travels not in money. I believe pursuing this line of work will give me all the experiences I could ever dream of and more.
